Function
This object is used to transfer the call to a different service number. When the system performs this function it:
- "Re-wires" the statistics for the current call to the new service number
- Re-reads the configuration of the service number
- All variables will be re-read including all $ variables configured on the service number
- Continues execution of the service in the current routing application
Note: the routing application continues - the service does not switch to the application configured in the new service number, but rather re-wires the configuration as if that service number had been called but within the current application.
This object can be useful for re-routing statistics if callers change their language preference. See the following howto for an example of how it may be used: Prompt Containers or International Call Flows made Easy.
